It's very exciting times, for those in the world of SAP HANA things are happening so fast and growing so quickly it's hard to keep up yet a handful of very special people have not only kept up but they have excelled and become recognized as HANA Distinguished Engineers (HDE) and now SCN has gone another step forward in that recognition and has created a very special badge just for them.
So now when you are looking at different profiles here in SCN you will notice that some have this badge, what does that mean? Well first and foremost it means they are truly experts who have excelled in the field of SAP HANA but it also means that they are ready and willing to share that expertise!
For me the HDE program is about identifying and acknowledging a craft, an expertise, dedication and passion to bettering ones self and their ability to grow and define themselves in a career field. The fact they have taken on this journey in a field related to such a ground breaking and industry changing technology makes it even more remarkable in my book!
I count myself lucky and honored to be included in this group, even though I am not at the same level as the HDE's the fact that I am able to learn and work together with them is an amazing experience!
