How to assign a Query into Transport request and Package in SAP BW?

How to assign a Query into Transport request and Package in SAP BW?

We can use 2 ways to assign Query into Transport request and Package:-

Option 1:

Ex: Query ZPLANT_Q_003 was default saved in $TMP package. We need to assign this query to transportable package

1. Go to T-code: RSA1-->Transport connection-->Object types-->Query elements-->click on select objects (find the Query based on the Info area and info provider) select the Query-->ok (on right side panel we can able to see the Query)…

Right click on Query--> select the Change package

Or

Click Truck Icon, --> change the Package -->save…

Use Existing TR or Create new TR using the Icon “create request”--> write Description of TR-->Save…

Now the system automatically Generated new TR Number.( below screen shot)-->click OK..

Then   click the Refresh button on à now the Query is assigned with Transport request along with Package.

Then check the same TR request is available on Modifiable (T-Code: SE09)..

Option 2:

Ex: Query Z_MDAT was default saved in $TMP package. We need to assign this query to transportable package.

T-code: RSA1-->Transport connection-->Object types-->Query elements-->click on select objects (find the Query based on the Info area and info provider) select the Query-->OK( on right side panel we can able to see the Query)…

Then Click on BEx icon (as shown in the below screenshot)--> then click on Assign/delete Button--> create new request (click create request option)-->write description of TR,(ex: sample Query)-->Save….

Now Transport request is automatically generated (BW1K900019),

  Click on “+”insert button-->Then click on pencil icon, select Package (which one we need to assign)-->OK….

click on  save Icon,Now the Transport request is assigned with selected Package (below screen)….

Assigning the Query to Transport request

Click on Truck Icon or Right click on the Query- -> select change package -->display/change Package-->change the Package $tmp to Z_BW (which ever currently used for Transportation).--> Save.

Then select the Transport request( with help of work bench request)-->click on OK option.

a new pop-up,A new task will be created screen will come, click ok…
