Duke MBA Students Learn How SAP Enables Big Data Analytics for Social Media and Marketing!

Fred Isbell, SAP Services Marketing, Shared Insights on SAP Solutions Enabling Market Intelligence and Business Insights

 

On February 17-19, 2014 Fred Isbell, Senior Director, Field Engagement, SAP Services Marketing visited the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University where he engaged with students and faculty around how SAP’s solutions including SAP HANA enable market intelligence and business insights from Big Data in real time.

Highlights included:

 

Presenting at two sections of the MBA Marketing Intelligence class: 

 

“Why market intelligence”, SAP’s use of market intelligence with a focus on recent 2014 planning, and a “case study” on SAP and Influencers with a focus on the SAP Services Gartner Services Magic Quadrant and Forrester Wave studies.

 

An SAP Overview and Workshop on Marketing Transformation to members of the Duke/Fuqua Marketing and High tech Clubs:

 

Topic: “The New Normal: Marketing Skills and Transformation in a Constantly Changing World”

Focus: challenges of the “modern marketer”, the skills gap we all face, and the need to move quickly and deal with constant change. 

 

Social Media and Social Marketing Workshop:

 

How SAP HANA enables insights from social media in real time, driving improved customer focus and delivering on changing consumer trends

 

Duke/Fuqua Event “The Future of Marketing”:

 

SAP topics: SAP “Fan Experience” as an example of SAP innovating in B to C; and the role of CMOs in driving marketing leadership through leveraging social media, with the example of SAP CMO Jonathan Becher
